What is VoIP?

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) also known as "Broadband Phone". It's all about sending your voice over the internet rather than your traditional phone line.

How does it work?

Nettalks Broadband Phone (VoIP) converts the voice signal from your telephone into a digital signal that travels over the internet, and then converts it back to analogue at the other end so you can speak to anyone with a regular phone number. When placing a VoIP call using a standard phone with an adapter, you'll hear a dial tone and dial just as you always have. With Nettalks Broadband Phone (VoIP) you can also make/receive calls directly from a computer using a ‘softphone' and multimedia headset or a microphone.
Broadband Phone (VoIP) with Nettalk is as good as the traditional method of voice if not better. When using Nettalks Broadband Phone (VoIP) you will experience huge savings compared to your traditional phone bill and you will enjoy more flexability with the features that are available with VoIP.

Local Numbers (DID's)

Even though everybody can still call your local number provided by your existing phone company Nettalk Brodband Phone (VoIP) can allocate you with a local number so that anyone can call you through your VoIP service. In fact if you move you can actually take the number with you anywhere you go. We can even port your existing number so that it remains with you for life even if you move.
